Insurance — how coverage works, in plain words

Osteopathic treatments are covered by many extended health plans, so it's always worth checking yours. Receipts are issued under SCMMAC professional-association membership and are normally accepted by the major Ontario insurers — they've gone through with Canada Life, and most clients are reimbursed by Manulife, Sun Life and others. Massage sessions are wellness work and aren't claimed as treatment.

The receipt you'll receive

After your osteopathic treatment you receive an official SCMMAC osteopathy receipt by email, issued in your name as Osteopathic Treatment (DOMP), with everything insurers ask for. Most plans accept a photo of it in their app, and reimbursement usually lands within days.

Pre-fill your details

Send your details now and your receipt will be ready right after your visit.

Your details are used only to prepare your osteopathy receipt.

Osteopathic-treatment receipts include everything insurers ask for. Relaxation and other massage sessions are wellness work, so they're never claimed as treatment.
With gratitude

Grateful for the clients who made this work a joy

These kind words come from guests of our founder's Ottawa-area spas over the years. The setting has changed — the same standard of care continues here at ALX.
